Lamprobe High Frequency

The brainchild of Hubert Lam, a Toronto-based drugless health practitioner who has been practicing medical aesthetics for the past 25 years, the Lam Probe high frequency technology helps to remove those unsightly minor skin irregularities that bother us. The Lam Probe works on the principle of liqius being attracted to heat which is released by various probes.  This attraction either opens pores or lifts skin cells to the surface where they can slough off.  The heat from the Lam Probe also can relax a wrinkle caused by a muscle contraction and stimulate collagen.

The Lam Probe high frequency technology is used for the rapid removal of:

  • Minor skin irregularities such as telangiectasis (broken capillaries)
  • Spider veins
  • Cherry angiomas
  • Fibromas
  • Skin tags
  • Raised and flat hyper-pigmentation
  • Milia (whiteheads)
  • Blackheads (comedones)
  • Cholesterol deposits
  • Sebaceous hyperplasia
  • Pustules
  • Pimples

The facial begins with a microdermabrasion to open up the outer layer of skin tissue and exfoliate the skin. The Lam Probe treatment is very quick and may not even touch the skin, although it is often a little uncomfortable. Small skin tags or blood spots and broken capillaries disappear immediately and hyper pigmented areas take only a few minutes. There is minimal discomfort to the patient and healing time is short, from a day or two for skin tags to a few weeks for larger skin abnormalities such as fibromas. Some of the irregularities will dry up, crust over and fall of usually within 1 week. Hyper-pigmentation, or brown spots, immediately darken, will crust over and fall off on their own. Makeup can be worn to camouflage the treated areas during the healing time and the areas should be cared for lightly.
